Cookery tips from a masterchef

THE latest celebrity to visit Plank's Farm Shop at Lydeway, near Devizes, is this year's TV Masterchef winner, James Nathan.
A year to the day since Masterchef judge and presenter John Torode officially opened the shop, Mr Nathan, who beat off competition from thousands of hopefuls to take this year's title, will conduct two cookery demonstrations on Sunday, at 11am and 2pm.
Using locally sourced produce, Mr Nathan will create an anniversary dish with complimentary recipe cards for people to try out at home.
Mr Nathan said: "The secret of great meals is good quality, locally sourced, tasty food. I'm really excited about cooking with local produce from Plank's Farm Shop and am delighted to help mark its first year."
Mr Nathan competed in the final against two other talented chefs, Jonny Stevenson, a father-of-two from Northern Ireland, and the astonishingly precocious 18-year-old Emily Ludolf.
The farm shop has gone from strength to strength since Mr Torode opened it last year.
Partner Liz Nelson said: "It's been an exhilarating and exhausting first year. We'd like to say a big thank you to all our customers for making our first year such a success and for making it so much fun."
As well as Mr Nathan's demonstrations, there will be entertainment for children this Sunday from Kooky the Clown as well as face painting, a bouncy castle and drop-in craft sessions at Potato Patch Crafts.
